Parson's Design:

Rodarte warrior dresses:

Armani "Ghost" jacket:

Trick or Chic!

So this month I have been in the process of working on some new designs for my Parsons application. The inspiration: the ressurection of a dead tree. But that is not the only big event going on this month, this month also happens to be halloween month. Do you remember when you were a little kid and in the weeks leading up to halloween you would wear your costume absolutely everwhere? Well guess what? You can still do that! No, I am not advocating flaunting a 50 dollar witch costume that you picked up at Iparty complete with wartz and wig, what I am thinking about is more haute couture than half price. I am thinking about the pop art t shirts showing at Jean Charles de Castelbajac or the indian warrior princess gowns at Rodarte. Playing dress up is not just for little kids anymore. The "where would I ever wear that?" outfits that you see on the runway can be worn in public, and in the days leading up to Halloween, what better way to get in the spirit than by dawning a goth glam , super spooky Armani "ghost" goat and dominatrix leather skirt? Maybe you'll even buy yourself a bag of dark chocolate m&ms and pretend that you're trick or treating!
